The Humane Society

The Humane Society put its supporters in touch with Florida’s
Constitution Revision Commissioners to end greyhound racing.

The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s most effective animal protection organization. The Humane Society provides hands-on care and services to more than 100,000 animals each year, and professionalizes the field through education and training for local organizations.

The Humane Society of the United States wanted to connect supporters to Florida’s Constitution Revision Commissioners, asking for an end to abusive greyhound racing in the state using their Lawmaker Messaging Tool.

With their Lawmaker Messaging Tool, the Humane Society empowered supporters to make their heard in opposition to Greyhound Cruelty. Highlights from their successful campaign include:

  • Widespread email and phone calling to members of the CRC

  • A vote in their favor by the CRC on the issue of greyhound racing.

The Humane Society’s successful campaign in Florida signals the power and impact of direct lawmaker messaging, giving constituents the opportunity to make their voices heard.
