Marshall Tuck for State Superintendent of Public Instruction

Marshall Tuck collected videos from students, parents,
and teachers to leverage in his campaign for State Superintendent.

Marshall Tuck, running for California State Superintendent in 2018, believes in the power of public schools to change lives. Most recently, Marshall directed various school improvement efforts with the New Teacher Center (NTC). Prior to that, Tuck was the founding CEO of the nonprofit Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, a  collaboration between the Mayor’s office and LA Unified School District.

In his campaign for the position of State Superintendent in California, Marshall Tuck looked to surface heartfelt stories and messages from students, teachers and parents about the school year ahead. With his Video Testimonial Tool, he collected rich user-generated content and leveraged them on social media for broader impact.

With a beautiful Video Testimonial tool and gallery of thoughtful user-generated videos, Marshall Tuck’s campaign achieved the following:

  • Clear and powerful CTA about the start of the new year

  •  Thoughtful videos from students, parents, and teachers

  • Powerful video montage leveraged across social media

Armed with powerful video content to serve as social proof, the Marshall Tuck campaign made a point leveraging user-generated content on social media and digital ads, and weaving them into video montages to optimize engagement, donations, and social virality.
